Process Simulation and Operational Models

DBD has a proven track record in providing specialist Dynamic Process and Control (DPC) simulation support to major high-hazard projects.

Drawing on the wide-ranging experience of our team, DBD uses relevant process engineering knowledge and experience to model major plant operations. We have developed models to verify designs of new and novel plants, ensuring that operational design intent can be achieved. In addition we have also provided cost savings to Clients through the removal of risk from the commissioning phase.

The simulations can also be used to support the Clients’ training requirements for plant operations. This allows the operator training programme to be undertaken at an early stage in the project and operator feedback to be incorporated at the design phase.

DBD also develops Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) discrete event models utilising a number of modelling platforms. These models allow the Client to assess bottlenecks occurring in the process flow of the plant and thus increase the overall throughput of the plant.
